END OF THE SOCCER SEASON

The Rattlers played in the end of season soccer tournament this past Saturday. They won the first game with a score of 8-1. Dylan made 3 goals but only 2 counted... He was so excited. The second game did not go so well. The Rattlers lost with a score of 6-1. Dylan made the only goal in the second game though. He handled the loss better than expected. So the Rattlers ended the season in second place and third place in the tournament.. Wednesday report cards came out i was so happy. Dylan came up in everything or stayed the same. his grades were as follows.

i am so proud of him.. he is working hard this year..

RATTLERS GOT RATTLED

Ok so that was a bit over dramatic lol. The game that the rattlers played on Saturday the 18Th we lost. The score was 4-2. We did really well though. The team we played the Aztecs were really good and really rough lol.. The girls came down for the weekend. The twins and Mimi went to the game with us. After the game we went to a garage sale then came home and chilled out. Sunday Dylans friend Abel and his mom invited us to go to the movies in uvalde. We went to see Beverly hills Chihuahua . It was funny. It was so nice to get out of the house and spend time with good friends. Dylan and i really enjoyed it. Today is Mimi's birthday. We got her some soft furry slippers and a cheesecake that she started to eat as soon as we gave it to her. Hoot got her the new Indiana Jones movie. guess that is all till after Saturday. we have soccer and then Halloween parade and then carnival. Janet and Sarah are coming , yahhhhh..

RATTLERS RULE

The Rattlers(dylans soccer team) have had 2 games since my last post. The game on the 4th of october they won 11-1. The last game they played was on october 11th and won that game 11-0. Dylan even got to score a goal. He was so awesome. Hoot came out of surgery great. He had surgery on monday the 6th and was home friday the 10th. Dylans next game is on the 18th. Margaret will being coming for a visit on the 24th for the weekend. That is the weekend of the halloween parade and festival. much love, lauri

OUR FIRST GAME AND HEART TROUBLE

Soccer season is upon us... Dylan's team the Rattlers played their first game last Saturday. Dylan played the sweeper position. He was great. He even used his head lol.. The Rattlers won the game 5-0. They were so excited.. Dylan fell or got hurt a little but didn't stop playing. He did great. We play again this Saturday the 4Th. My brother Hoot is having heart surgery on Monday. I am not really sure what all is being done but it is serous. I will be going to the hospital Monday and then Tuesday Dylan has a dentist appointment. Will keep all updated on Hoot and soccer games. much love.

SOCCER SEASON

Soccer season is upon us. Dylan started soccer practice this last Tuesday. He loves playing but has decided that he wants to play goalie. The coach wants him to play sweeper because he is so good. when he behaves lol.. He is so busy these days. He has soccer practice two times a week. Then he has Awana's one day a week. He loves school thank goodness , loves his new teacher. He made a 100 on his first spelling test last week. We are waiting for hurricane Ike to go away. Hoping Grace and Jayci and JR are going to be OK cuz it is going their way. Dylan also had a bike wreck this past weekend. He got pretty banged up his arm is scraped pretty bad and has bruises on his thighs and back. well that is about it for the past week. i will try to do this at least once a week or every other day.

Not too much going on

Hello people... Sorry i have not been on much lately. I have been busy with Dylan,Harley and Dallas. Since i last posted we have had the rodeo here in Utopia. My nephew Zach and brother Hoot roped and both missed lol. Oh well. I had my step-daughter Margaret who likes to be called rosie for the week before rodeo. She and Dylan got along way better this time around. Then the fourth of july came, we went to the fireworks in town. They were awesome this year. They are always good but they seemed better this year, i guess cuz we sat closer lol. I now have Dylan and both of the twins for the month of july. We go on our daily walks to check the mail and they stay outside some but it gets hot earlier these days. So they play alot of the wii or watch tv. Guess that is all for now . cya later.

To Hot.....

Ok people... It is just way to hot here. Since I was here last not much
has happened. Such is the life in a small town. It is so hot it has hit
over 100 a couple times since I last wrote here. Dylan, his dad and
sister Margaret are at Fiesta Texas today. at least they get some
comfort lol . Today is my brother Hoot's birthday.. Yes that is his
nickname. We had some rain on Friday but not enough to do anything
about the drought. My bedroom is now painted. It is a brown color but i
love it. I finished painting the cabinet in my bathroom which is also
brown but lighter. It makes me feel more at home here. I will post pics
later of my bedroom walls and the bathroom cabinet .

OH WHAT A WEEKEND

Oh where to start lol. on last Thursday night the twins came to town. They spent the night with Dylan and I. Friday we pretty much just hung around the house. I didn't get to watch my Friday the 13th movies like i always do on Friday the 13th's. the kids were there so i couldn't watch lol. oh well i will get over it. Saturday Burt,Shelia,Wade and Cashton
came to town to go to Hoot and Amanda's wedding. The wedding was very
short and to the point. After the wedding we went to Reagan Wells to
uncle Gene's house. We had a nice dinner and Dylan and the girls played
in the new pool for hours. Dallas then beat everyone at bowling on theWii,by alot lol
Then we came home and the twins spent the night at my house again..
Sunday was fathers day. we made our calls to my dad and grandad. We
took Chad to kerrville to the movies and out to eat. We watched the movie Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. It was ok but the first was better i thought.We at at the Asian Buffet we alwayseat at and it was good. On the way home we stopped at Taco Casa and I got a Chilada oh my goodness. it was awesome. Then we came home and Dylan spent the night at Chads house. I guess that about covers the weekend I hope to keep up with this better and more often. lots of love from the pickle patch.... TODAY'S ADVENTURE

TODAY DYLAN AND I WENT ON ONE OF OUR FAMOUS "NATURE WALKS" WE WENT TO CHECK THE MAIL AND SEE WHAT WE COULD FINE ALONG THE WAY. AS WE STARTED THERE WAS SOMEONE MOWING THE HIGH GRASS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ALONG OUR WAY. WE WERE SO HAPPY TO SEE IT CUZ THE GRASS WAS GETTING WAY TO HIGH, AND WITH ALL THE REPORTS AROUND TOWN ABOUT SNAKES IT WAS A BLESSING. YESTERDAY MAT FIXED THE GATE AT THE TOP OF THE HILL FOR ME. I CAN GET IN AND OUT BY MYSELF. YAH.... AS WE WERE ON OUR WAY HOME DYLAN STOPPED AND TOOK PICS OF FLOWERS AND CLOUDS AND ROCKS. LOL.. THATS MY DYLAN LOL.. WE HAD A GREAT TIME, AND THAT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE TIMES OF THE DAY, JUST DYLAN AND I TALKING AND BEING TOGETHER.

A NEW WEEK BEGINS

School ended on the 23rd of May for Dylan. We then went to stay with aunt Shelli in Dilley for a week or so. We just got home last night really late. Dylan got his Taks results when we got home. He only missed one question on the reading test.. Yah Dylan. He was commended performance on it. He passed the math test only missing 10 questions. He didnt get commended performace on that one. Well off we go to the river and see what we can find along the way.
